Hello,
I am interested in making improvements to the GUI and fixing bugs in ASCEND,
for GSOC 2011. I have some experience in using GTK, Clutter and have done
programming in C. Python is new to me, and so I am learning it now.
I want to do this project because of my interest in coding. This project
will surely improve my programming skills.
As of now, I have done svn checkout of the trunk. I have built and run the
PyGTK GUI. I have also submitted a patch for Issue
423<http://ascendbugs.cheme.cmu.edu/view.php?id=423>.
I must say, I learned many things while doing all this. This got me even
more interested in the project.
Participating in such a project is new for me, and thus very exciting. It
would be helpful if you can direct me as to what more I should learn to be
more useful to the project.
