What versions are you using? w3m 0.5.2 works with frames="none" and
frames="all" and the default "all" for me (using html4 backend).
I am also using w3m 0.5.2 but with Asciidoc's default xhtml11 backend.
Use the html4 backend for text output, it's plain HTML4 unadorned with CSS class
declarations and associated divs, the text only browsers like this better.
