what exactly was the `a2x' call you used (which flags etc.)? you can try running `a2x --verbose' to get more details of where the processing hangs. I recall once having a similar experience where I discovered that during `a2x' operation unexpected network traffic occurred. in the end it turned out that on my system (MacOSX) at that time there was an error in the asciidoc installation where a certain xslt stylesheet or similar was not found on the local machine by (if I recall correctly) `xsltproc' (which is called in the `a2x' toolchain) and the default seemingly is to then locate the required information on the internet which indeed can take some time. maybe your problem is of a related nature. otherwise the experts have to intervene... hth joerg -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "asciidoc" group.
