I'm on Asciidoc 8.6.8 and Python 2.7.2

The exact command (being run out of Makefile) is:

  ATTRS := --attribute revdate=$(shell date +%Y-%m-%d) --attribute
revremark='$(shell echo Built by $$USER)'
  asciidoc --doctype=book --backend=html $(ATTRS) book.asciidoc
