Hi,

I'm seeing that the Vim syntax highlighting is *really* slow if the file
is not asciidoc. It's not snappy if it is, but it is workable. However,
when it is turned on for a non-asciidoc file, it fails spectacularly.

I've filed a bug against the syntax file repo on github as well[1]. It
is better, but still not great. An example file[2] takes 53 seconds to
load (time vim file.txt<Enter>:q<Enter>) with the version shipped in
asciidoc-8.6.8. The most recent version in the github repo takes about
22 seconds. I haven't noticed slowdowns with other syntax files.

I'm using Vim 7.3 patch 1109 from Fedora.

Has anyone else noticed this? It'd likely be best to try and improve the
ftdetect/asciidoc.vim detection to be more strict about its detection.

Thanks,
