Hi. My name is Brian Cameron and I work for Oracle. I am currently investigating integrating AsciiDoc into future versions of Solaris. Before this can happen, though, I need to get an answer to what is (I hope) a simple question.
I notice that, by default, AsciiDoc installs most of its configuration, javascript and stylesheet files into sysconfdir or /etc/asciidoc. This seems an unusual place to store project private information. Most projects following the LSB (Linux Standards Base) install their project private data files to a directory in /usr/share. Is there any benefit or reason why AsciiDoc tends to want to install files to /etc/asciidoc? Would there be any problems if such files were installed to /usr/share instead?
