I just looked at those files in Debian, which is very strict on which files 
go to where, and notice that images, icons and javascripts are under 
/usr/share, while filters, stylesheets, xsl etc are under /etc/asciidoc.

The "modern" approach is put all defaults under /usr/share, but all user 
customization under /etc, right?
