It shouldn't. But it in the real world it does.  For the average Linux
user, using a Python one requires far fewer "extra" things to be
installed when compare to something like asciidoctor requires that you
install Ruby.

It's not _that_ hard to install Ruby et alia, but it does make a
difference.
