One suggestion I have before doing that is to remove the whole upgrading mechanism. The purpose of it was to allow loading ASDF3 over ASDF 1/2 when the various implementations were only shipping with the latter, but IMO it's now just a burden. -- Stelian Ionescu a.k.a. fe[nl]ix Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur.
