It's a very good idea, let's do this.
I do not agree, I believe we should provide an IDE that is convenient
to use for both types of users : - normal users, who should never
have to use hidden variables and functions - advanced users, who know
what they are doing, and who should not be given pain by a software
fighting against them.
Then, we can say we agree to disagree.
I don't see why hiding dangerous stuff is an inconvenient. On the
contrary it DOES remind to the user that he should not use this under
normal condition.
On your ubuntu, the sudo command ask your password regularly (even if
you don't restart your terminal). Did you file a bug report ?
