Are you sure you don't put "something wrong" into $Application / $Session?
Could be, but if so, why is only this site locking up?
You might also try to write a small script that dumps your *full* perl namespace in mod_perl, to see if something is "leaking"...
Do you remember the incantation for that? I'm sure I can look it up if you don't have it off the top of your head.
