Hi Shannon,
 
I passed the nodeindex instead of the nodetext and it is working without
any hitch now.
So now, even if many menu items have the same text, there won't be any
problem.

You can make the SelectedIndexChange event fire on the
page, capture the node index, then have it do the rest
of the actions you want.  That is the only way I can
see doing it if the text can be the same.

In order to do that change the control to cause
autopost back, and write a selectedindexchanged event
handler getting the e.GetNodeIndex()
