and it prints out

TypeNameDataSet = DataSet

whether it returns no records or has records.

I got the trace information to display but there is a ton of information
that is returned. What am I looking for and how can I get the typename I am
not sure were to look. Huge listing.

<%@ trace="true"%>

or add trace="true" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED] .... %> if already there.

You really need to read

Trace is your friend along with typename.

ASP.net without trace is rough going. Trace illuminates all things and
times all things.
