Authorize.net probably works as well as any of them -- a client of mine had
already made that decision -- but for sheer simplicity and low startup cost,
nothing beats Paypal. I use it on EasyListBox.com, and when I upgrade to a
more "shopping cart" approach with EasyListBox 3.0, I will *still* use Paypal
because they are constantly upgrading their tools and services. Speaking with
a rep by phone is a snap when you have a business account with them, and again,
the pricing is quite good (with no need for merchant accounts, etc).
Also, if you get a Paypal debit Mastercard, you can recoup another 1.5% of
your gross... but I don't know if that will affect your decision.
Cheers,
Peter

I have to build my first credit card processing application and do not know
which payment companies to use. I have heard of autherize.net, and have
used pay-pal for payments on eBay. Does anyone have any good lessons
learned for me?
