When you are connecting with sa, you are using SQL authentication to connect to the database. "Login failed for user systemname\aspnet" means that the local user account (Windows authentication) for the ASP.NET <http://ASP.NET>worker process failed. What do you mean when you say you are trying to connect to the database using ASP.NET <http://ASP.NET>? Ryan
