All work will be done on a W2 basis. This position will provide support for the implementation and support a Justice Information System. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for developing the design and implementing changes to the existing systems, based on the customer requirements and guidelines. Development duties include coding: C++, Technical Design Spec Documents, Stored Procedures, DB development (MS SQL Server and Oracle). Ensures design decisions are evaluated analytically and in a systematic manner in accordance with approved technical approaches and requirements. Responsible for maintaining good customer relations. The role requires the ability to work on multiple tasks, with set deadlines and goals. Requires effective communication and writing skills, necessary to effectively, motivate, teach, and lead technical discussions and information. Periodic travel may be required for on-site customer support. The position will require the successful completion of a criminal history background check. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of experience in software development area.
