O echipa de la BBC (www.bbcnews.com/worldhaveyoursay ), va realiza in
septembrie o emisiune, la radio, avand ca participanti 6-7 persoane
care sa discute, sa contrazica, sa fie de acord sau impotriva, deci
sa aiba o parere si sa si-o exprime, despre integrarea noastra si a
Bulgariei in Uniunea Europeana.

The Outside Broadcast is taking place on 20th September before the
decision about Romania and Bulgaria's accession into the EU, due at
the beginning of October. We will link 3 locations (Sofia, Bucharest
and Brussels) to discuss the many issues surrounding the two
countries accession, which is expected on January 1st 2007.
What the countries think:
Romanians believe that Bulgaria is holding back their EU
application, they say that Bulgaria's inability to reach a number of
economic and social standards set out by the EU for acceptance will
lead to their application being held back for a number of years.
Others believe that joining the EU may be a good thing in the future
but farmers (who make up 50% of Romania's work force) will suffer.
The Bulgarians I've spoken are mostly worried about the influx of
foreigners into their country. Agriculture is also a big part of the
Bulgarian life and many believe the high price of the Euro and the
influx of cheap goods will put farmers and local producers out of
business.
People in Belgium seem more concerned with Turkey's possible
introduction into EU, but they are worried about more migrant
workers from Eastern Europe coming to their country. "
