Ram da,

Sometimes I thought of starting business of tent house near Assam
Secretariat (last gate ) as half of the week in this place is filled up by
some organization for picketing/hunger strike etc...

Don't worry, just kidding......but this could be a good venture...what u
say???

Pranjal

Hello Pranjal,

>9months assam had faced more than 100 bandhs

Wow, that is more than what i bargained for. So, how much does each of
these cost the good people of Assam?, per bandh?. My guess would be
atleast 1/4 crore Rs. in today's RS. that would make it around Rs. 25
crores.

Goodness, the year isn't over yet. That averages to about 11 days a
month. So around 133 days a year, this year. This may actually be good
news for some people. imagine, Assam functions for only 2/3rd of a
year, and inspite of that - just look at the progress.

People in Assam, the State Govt. and the insurgents should never have
to complain that the Center has ripped them off. After all, it stands
to reason (in some uncanny way) , that the more money Assam has, there
would be more bandhs.

>Are the problems really solved after declaring bandhs???

Only someone like C'da can tell us how. I am sure he can pull some
good explanation out of a hat:)
