Dear Chandanda Unfortunately the list is correct. But then we must not forget that India is a very young country. Its trying its best, and doing well in a short span of 59 years of existence.
But look at the brighter side. India failed in birth control. Now it has the youngest population in the world (some 35.5 years average). While the rest of the world is ageing. Indian's are the most brilliant and all the tertiary industries are coming to India to shore up their bottomlines. India's oft criticised education system produced brilliant IITans, IIMians, who are manning the corporate world all over. It is this system taht produced and provided for scarce resources so that the most brilliants could get the best of education and go ahead. Now what they are giving back is to be accounted for. I think they should comeback and join the system and try to improve upon instead of criticising. Indian's abroad may be well-off, but will always suffer from some complex, afetr one or two generations they will lose identity. "Boga sahibs" took half a millenia to develop their system and build up resources by plundering the colonies. Give India another 30 years and all the listings will be for USA or the developed world. I am sure about that. As Sankaradeva scripted, "dhanya dhanya kolikaal, dhanya naratonu bhaal dhanya dhanya bharata barixhe".. I am very happy to be here, to be part of the nation building process. Sri Aurobindo and mother said "India's destiny is to be the guru to the world". The current somewhat discouraging state of affair is because of the aberration of the intellectuals with politics. But politics is the system that governs us, we have gifted the "xhaxonor baghjoree" to some less credited people.
