Harvard President Summers in Jaipur - - meeting its first female Chief Minister.  Its a surprise!

I wish Prof. Reimers (program director of International Edu Policy -dealing with edu in developing countries )  would pay a visit to India someday too - though he did mention that he was refused entry into India while he was working with Pakistani kids. I think that was Cold war era - now things have improved between the three countries - Indian, US. Pak.

Female literacy is lowest in Rajasthan among Indian states . Till 1990 it was only 20% - now it is estimated to be 40%. However lieracy is generally defined there is ability to read and write one sentence or even one word (your one name).
