Dear Umesh,

We must not give up hope. I wrote the drama NIRVANA to surpass frustration and pain  and turn the world into a place of joy, hope, trust and love --- the last line of 1 Corinthian 13.

Published last month, in his new book “Identity & Violence”, Dr. Amartya Sen has suggested “many identities” of “any human being” as an answer to the analysis by another Harvard Professor Samuel Huntington who predicted “a major intercivilizational war between core states” in his influential 1996 book “The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of the World Order,” based on “a system of”  “singular classification” and “unique categorization” along the “so-called civilizational lines, which closely follow religious divisions …”

In this debate of Huntington’s  “singular classification” vs. “many identities” by Amartya Sen,  the drama NIRVANA invokes the idea of  “no identity.” Too many identities (each being singular) will overload an individual to a collapse.

Human consciousness, first observed when a caveman etched a hunting graphic on a cave wall, gradually developing into a faculty of logic and science, helps us today travel two million light years to the Andromeda Galaxy with our mind in the drama NIRVANA. When we look back, the Earth appears as a dust particle. We are all dust particles, getting arranged and rearranged at birth and death.

This wisdom will not only take away all our pain, but it will also bring peace on earth, and human beings will run life caring for each other with love that pervades the entire universe.

With love to everybody,

Himendra

Subject: Re: [Assam] Easter Sunday by Greek Orthodox Church - love the illegals??

I hope this message comes across to the 30 million right wing Protestant evangelicals  in USA and their political forces etc who are baying for the blood of mainly Latino Catholic illegal immigrants - in a land formed by immigrants . Samuel Huntington, ofcourse seems an Atheist.

These evangelicals preach love and religious freedom in far flung areas like Sudan and Burma - so this is a test of their faith - when its repurcussions affect their own.

Dear friends,

On the day of Easter Sunday April 16, I sent an "abstract" from the Holy Bible 1 Corinthians 13  to our friends in the assam.net and I received very positive answers.

Now I find that the Easter Sunday is actually on April 23 according to the Greek Orthodox Church. I am, therefore, sending the abstract again to the assam.net as a homage to Isha --- the Indian word for Jesus.

Love does not mix with boasting, or anger, or puffing up. Love means kindness. Someone in love tolerates, believes, hopes, and endures. Someone in love does not ask for anything, does not indulge in unseemly behaviour, does not envy anybody, does not think of any evil motive, does not try to make profit from injustice and iniquity. Love rejoices truth. Love never fails.

This teaching is eternal, and it transcends the universe. No matter how many times we repeat it, we still draw peace from such a teaching as a Guiding Light of life. I hope the members of assam.net  will advance this idea through discussion.

With love to everybody,
Himendra
