The Christians donot
recognise Islam to be the true faith, That is the problem from the Islam's side.
And that is one of the reason of the present hatred against Christian West.
Similarly, the Jews donot believe Jesus Christ to be
true.
The case may be
similar, though not exactly, to the Buddhist and the Hindus. The Hinduism donot
recognise Buddhism as as a separate religion. Hinduism try to
recognise Buddhism only by creating a story of Buddha being one the
incarnation of Vishnu. By doing that Hindus claim that Buddhism after all is a
branch of Hinduism like Vaishnavism where Krishna is another incranation of
Vishnu. But the thing is this incarnation story
created by the intelligent Hindus is not recognised by the Buddhists. That is to
say, according to Buddhism, Buddha is not an incarnation of any God, but a
simple man.
Like Islam, Judaism and
Christianity, at one time there a were lot of in-fighting between the Hindus and
the Buddhists in India. One will have to dig history to find out how many
Buddhist temples have been converted to Shaiva or Vishnu temples many
of which were again convetred to Mosque later.
When one goes inside the history of
religions, it is a dog eat dog story.

So why the fighting. And if Christians do recognize Islam as a true faith
(which I doubt) then why do they seek converts. Anyway, Islam came after
Christianity -so how can Christians decide that it is a true faith. If they
think so, they should convert to Islam --as Muslims ask them to!!

Rather it will be like a
Vaishnava Hindu trying to convert a Buddhist to Vaishnavism.
Buddhism is a recognized path of salvataion by the Hindus as
Buddha and Krishna are considered by the Hindus to be the avataras of the
same Hindu God Vishnu.

Islam - Koran (claimed by Islam
to be the Last Testament)

Then why so much hue and cry with Italin govt flying an Air Force
plane to Afghanistan who onverted to Islam and why Taliban detained Aid
workers accusing them of promoting conversions. Similalrly in Nigeria

Because historically Judaism is the
earler version of the Judio-Christian religion, and is well recognized
within that circle. from that circle, all others, except Islam, are
'mlessas', who need to be recovered by conversion into Christianity.
Judaism are already a recognized path for salvation of the Jews, like
Islam for the Muslims,
