Dear Mr. Talton,
The room height being generally
about 10 feet, the volume of space for your proposed biodiesel plant in the
house will be only 1000 cft. That is really encouraging.
However, will the process
generate bad smell? With windows open, the smell may be objectionable to the
neighbors. The city I am talking about is reportedly populated by 2,515,030
people on an area 4,345 km²
(density 579/ km²) without any sewer system. Leeching fields of neighbors
overlap. Many houses discharge raw sewage into open city drains. Smell is
terrible. The city does not have adequate water-supply.
This city also suffers from a
terrible solid-waste problem. What will be the quantity and type of raw material
for the 10 feet x 10 feet x 10 feet home-biodiesel plant and how much solid
waste will be produced?
Thanking you, and
With the best wishes,
Himendra Barthakur

10 by 10 foot space with windows open should be fine.

Dear Mr. Talton,
That is really very interesting. What is the minimum floor area
& the minimum volume of space required? As for ventilation, will it
be enough if windows are opened, or do we need fans? And, what are the raw
material?
Thanking you, and

Re: Biodiesel in Guwahati
You need a well-ventalited space, but it does not have to
be in the countryside.

Dear Mr. Talton,
I am very interested how the biodiesel energy can be
developed. I have heard that production of biodiesel energy is
feasible only in a countryside. Is it possible to develop this kind of
energy in the homes of a densely populated city?
With the best wishes,
