Only Urea spells disaster to the soil.

 Where is P,K ?

Balanced Chemical Fertilizer means N+P+K + microelements.

India has no source for P & K.

That is why wheat, rice, oilseeds ,anything yields per Hectare are the lowest in the world.

Sovereign Assam would  manufacture  and supply all the P&K  India  wants to import  against Rupee payment.

Indian new generations (of cattle/birds/men) can then  grow up  to strong bones and muscles and   only  thus become an athletic nation--athletic in mind and body-after centuries of depravation.

Don't like it?

Too bad!

Advantage Bangladesh!

Guwahati, Jan 11: Public sector unit, Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) has become a casualty of ULFA’s terror. More than 450 workers are not coming to work since last few days.

Union fertilizer and chemical minister, Ram Vilas Paswan, who recently toured Upper Assam and visited the trouble torn areas said that nearly 450 workers have not come to work since last few days. The Northeast might face urea shortage as the plant is not running in full capacity. “We will have to import urea from
outside to meet the urea requirements of the Northeast,” he said.

Bangladesh once again stands on a winning track as huge quantity of fertilizers are smuggled from the neigbouring country and if trouble persist this country is going to be benefited in a big way.

Last year the minister has announced for setting of a grass root plant at BVFCL complex at Namrup. The setting up of grass root plant at Namrup with an investment of Rs 2500 has been done to increase the urea production. Out of the three existing units of BVFCL, two are quite old.

Sources said that the present spell of violence will also slow down the work of the grass root plan
.The fertilizer ministry has engaged public sector consultant, PDIL to prepare a detailed project report for setting up the new plant at Namrup. The PDIL has earlier recommended for conversion of the closed urea producing units at Sindri, Gorakhpur, Barauni, Durgapur, Haldia, Talchar and Ramagundum to be covered to gas based plants. These plants were earlier running on naptha or LSHS fuel oil.

In 2005 the urea consumption in the country was 229 lakh MT against a total production of 200 lakh MT. The fertilizer ministry is planning to increase the urea production to 270 lakh MT.  The setting up of the grass root plant would increase the production of unit from the present 5-lakh MT to 8 lakh MT.  In the eight Northeastern states against the total urea consumption
of 2.27 lakh MT, BVFCL supplied 2.04 Lakh MT urea, meeting 90 percent requirements in 2005.
