It is indeed a shame!
Assam Olympic Association is an organization for sports and officially, nothing
to do with GOVERNMENT. How can the govt. of Assam remove a GS of AOA!

When a CM takes over mantle of Olympic Asso, Cricket Asso, they perform
everything except what they are elected for 'welfare of people'.
BTW, does anybody know in which sports our CM (Also the president of AOA) was
associated with, besides the "GAME OF POLITICS".

Enjoy the National Games, formally opened by 'Bharat ki Mata' Sonia Gandhi in
'Indira Gandhi Statium'.

Subject: [Assam] National Games! Shame!Shame!!Shame!!!

Dear Netters

This episode is conveyed to me by a personal friend.

Shri Mukut Medhi WAS the GS of Assam Olympic Association (I reteirate WAS). He
was one of the main architects of getting the games to Assam and its subsequent
planning for the last few years. But due the threats he seemed to have received
from the TERRORISTS (viz. ULFA) not only for him but his entire family, he gave
some statements asking for postponement of games and proper security to his
family. The Govt od Assam ( or ASOM as they call them nowadays) took it
differently and stripped him of the GS portfolio just days ahead of the games.
Not even an invitation for the opening ceremony was sent to him. The poor
ARCHITECT of the games couldn't bear it and had an heart attack and is
inserious condition in ICU of a Guwahati Hospital.
Shame! Shame!! Shame!!!
 Long Live ASOM.

May the almighty come to his rescue and his family.
