If you try the above test (by keeping the computer screen 10 feet away - eye
level) it would tell you whether you have 20/20 vision or not - like me.
Today one of my room mates was declared semi-blind - at driving license center
( www.dmvnow.com ) even though he was able to read 6 letters out of 8 - I could
read only 5 - in a second attempt (it seems the lens of a few machines were
dirty - which look like grimy binoculors with letters on the other side in
dingy light) , maybe he got rejected becos he had glasses on - an d I had
declared that I never used one.
However, It did create a doubt in my mind - whether my eyes are going bad. I
did clear the tough multiple choice exam and got a learner's permit (my first
for a car license).
I found this (that I do have 20/20 vision) to my satisfaction just now (3:46 am
- 11 hours from my next work shift) after downloading Adobe reader etc and
taking odd eye tests along the way : such as dollar test (
