Hi Mohan:

Where you are, there are quite a few other varieties like the one you 
describe. If you go out to some woods where there are either springs 
or year round streams you will see them. I am not  exactly sure which 
one you have, but these won't produce edible shoots. They are usually 
tiny . If you have a few hundred plants, maybe  they could yield 
enough to taste.

Did you buy enough to make 'bhaaji or tenga anja ' from the Union Sq. 
Market? And how did it taste? I used our sampling in a stir-fry 
medley, and the taste was, well, not memorable :-).
