C'da
Thanks for enlightening me. Now I know that --
The world is black and white --- losers and winners
BBC,CNN, AR, GOI etc all should be branded into one of
these.... there cannot be any one who can be termed as
exploiters etc.
There cannot be others in the world who are corrupt,
criminal etc ... certainly there are none in that
group in the US of A but in India .... are you sure ??
There cannot be people whose IQ is not like Einstein
.... again ... I thought from your postings that
Indians are a bunch of Idiots and the ONLY Intelligent
Indian has migrated to St Louis.
--------
I agree .... you win ... irrespective of what you may
think, say ... you win.
In spite of the fact that MANY Indians who DO NOT pay
huge fees, do not go to St **** Schools but makes it
to IIT, IIM, Gurgaon or St Louis, you win.
In spite of the fact that Chandan Mahanta, a product
of Dysfunctional Indian Education system, has set up
a successfull Architecture practice in US by virtue of
his Indian education (and probably GOI scholarship),
you win.
In spite of the fact that there are thousands of
"products of Dysfunctional Indian Education system"
in Senior Levels of Multinational companies , you
win.
In spite of the fact that most of the high society
people in US send their kids to Private Schools (St
***** School) paying HUGE fees and still you boast of
"checks and balances" and "functional education", you
win
---
As usual, you have avoided answering my questions....
anyway netters are used to it ....

*** Okkkay! Let us begin here. Don't worry. I will
give you your
answer, IF, by some chance, it does not become
apparent to you,
fairly soon, from the exercises you will do,
interactively. The
length of the exercises , will be dependent on your
ABILITY or
WILLINGNESS to dig deeper, and in the process
connect the dots that
will emerge from the excavation.
For reference, we will call the above 'the main idea
according to
Krishendu' or MIAK for short.
BTW, if bystanders have other understandings of the
piece's main
idea/s, very different or even little but nuanced
different, feel
free to chime in. We will use them for reference .
( Here observers , who might not be familiar with
the original
Aesop's fable of the Ant and the Grasshopper -- ATGH
for short---,
might note that it was about working hard and
SAVING for a RAINY
DAY).
Now then, from MIAK above, those with any
commonsense ought to know
that the world is neatly divided into two camps: One
of hardworking
achievers, the ANTS and the other being of the lazy,
parasitic ,
cribbing ( complaining) non-achievers.
Would that be a reasonable interpretation here?
Feel free to
correct me if I am reading you incorrectly.
However, I like to think I am on target. And
therefore we will
proceed to the next exercise:
*** Therefore, from the litany of individuals and
institutions named in this desi-version of
the ATGH ( DATGH for short) , you should be able to
point out
who falls into which group.
Let us identify these two groups as the hardworking
ants
(HWA) and the lazy,cribbing lot
LCL)
So, please assign the appropriate labels below. To
make it
easy I will give the
following example:
BBC,CNN, NDTV --- ( HWA ? or LCL? )
Arundhati Roy ---- ?
Medha Patkar ---- ?
Amnesty International --- ?
Kofi Annan ---- ?
Opposition MPs ----?
Governing party MPs ----?
West Begal Govt. ----?
Kerala Govt. ----?
Lallu Prasad Yadav ---?
POTAGA ---?
Arjun Singh ---?
*** Also since you brought in the following
Assamnetter
personalities, what group
would they belong to:
Chandan Mahanta ----- ?
Jugal Kalita -----?
Krishendu Chakravarty-----?
Reasonable people might guess that there may not be
many belonging to
the HWA group mentioned in the DATGH.
And since you AGREE with the main idea embedded in
this DATGH, but
since the illustrious author of the piece did not
give us any
example, other than one who left to Silicon valley
to set up that
billlion dollar company, please provide us a few
examples of who
might fit the HWA group well.
I hope you will agree, that it is VERY IMPORTANT to
have those examples. So :
1: ----- ?
2: ----- ?
3: ----- ?
4: ----- ?
5: ----- ?
**** Assuming you don't abandon ship or run for the
tall-grass at
this point, we should be able to zero in on your
answers with just
one or two more exercises.
I am already excited!
