Let us think it this way. ( I am ignomarus so far as the process of determining 
as to who should receive Nobel Prize in any discipline). I think, the 'bias' 
factor definitely plays a part. Had the panel of judges been different, had the 
policies of the Nobel Committe at a given time been different, the awards might 
have gone to different recipients. Am I thinking straight? So, we do not know 
what factors played a part in this year's peace nobel. While discussing these 
things, we may rise above 'national feelings'. Had Mr. Pachauri been an 
Assamese, I might not have been convinced. Same feeling for Al Gore despite his 
a-tree-fallen-in-the-forest kind of analogy.
