Dear friends,
I seek your help in arranging accommodation for a student of mine who has
secured a six month internship at an architectural firm in Paris starting Jan
2008. She is currently a student at IIT (India's elite tech colleges) and this
internship is part of her program requirements.
I had been trying to use my contacts to arrange an internship for her in US but
without much success. On the other hand, she has managed to secure an
internship in Paris - home to world's best architecture . The drawback is that
the firm with whom she is interning with will pay only Euro 310 per month -
which may be enough to meet all daily expenses except for the rent. India,
indeed an emerging economy. does not translate in enough funds for its top
students to stay and do internship on their own funds in a place like Paris.
