I wonder if any public apology is forthcoing from BHRPC. I think the Assamese
people should follow it up.

inGuwahati

What is highly objectionable is the following statement from BHRPC :

"These speak a volume of the attitude of Assamese people towards the tribals
which also can explain the barbarity committed against the Adibasis."

It is same as blamming all the Muslims of the world for 911 stating
that,"These speak a volume of the attitude of Muslims of the world against
humanity..."

Both are not acceptable in our civilized society.
I think, as a minimum, BHRPC owes an public apology to the Assamese people in
general, for making such irresonsible statement.

the Barak Human Rights Group is a blatant allegation against entire Assamese
community. I wonder if any Human Rights Group has or could ever sanely blame
the entire community for the acts of a few. This report is biased and its
writers are biased.

Gujarat riots where 1,000 died and also did anyone blame ALL Delhi residents
for the murder of 4,000 Sikhs there in 1984 by rioteers.
