Dear Chandan-da / Assamnetters,
It was an excellent post to Deccan Chronicle and Ambika Shukla by Chandan-da,
but there was a small mistake - the report was carried in Deccan Chronicle, and
not Deccan Herald (the newspaper I was associated with till very recently).
As suggested by many, we all should strongly take up the matter with the
paper's editor and Shukla. I have already written to them, and while I don't
expect any reply, I do hope if a multitude of letters pile up on the editor's
comp, it will force them to issue an apology. We are also trying to take the
matter up through an egroup of journalists from the North-East.
