- Anonymous I join assam-net community in expressing my deepest condolences to the breaved family. Dr. Saikia was a personality with unparalleled mix of science, art and literature. All his creations are so emblematic of quality of constancy because he was a sincere believer of 'art imitates life'. Like other noble personalities of the world, Dr. Saikia was a very down-to-earth person. I had the opportunity of meeting him when I stopped by at his residence in Beltola (wireless) area of Guwahati for dropping off some articles/poems for publication in his prestigious magazine Prantik. That appearance was, as expected that time, without any prior appointment, but then he would chat and give encouragement for the work every time I visited him. Dr. Saikia is no more with us, but his kaleidoscopic array of artistic creativity will live and relive in the hearts of a people, forever.
