Here is a funny incident that happened to me. A few days back, I went for shopping- to shop for fish and vegetables. I entered a fish shop. I was not alone. Shabana, an MCA student from AEC who is doing her final year project under my guidance was with me. We are good friends. I asked for half a kg of Bahu fish. The fish monger cut a piece and weighed in the balance. Wow! The piece weighed exactly half a kg. But it did not end there. He cut a piece of the head and put another small weight. And then the argument began. "Mur to pelua, aru hei horu doga tu pelua". "Nai baidew ami masor logot alop mur diu. Hodaiae di ahisu". "Tumi aru ata doga uthaisa karone koisu" and it went on and on. People gathered and some were evening shoppers from our company. Shabana did not say a word. Also not one word from the crowd. I thought this should end, so I asked for the price. "Ei mas kgt 150 toka". "Nakhau ei mas" And I left the place quickly and entered a nearby tea shop. Slowly the crowd dispersed.
