Are we really? The disconnect is on a simple point -
are Gujarat and Maharashtra foreign lands for an
Assamese? For that matter is Togadia more foreign for
an Assamese than Chandan Mahanta? Both have
statistical answers that can yield a yes or no.
Elsewhere I mentioned about Togadia's following in
Assam. Wouldn't need a thinking cap to get the answer
on that one.

Your distaste is all good. The relevant question is
which idea has more following amongst the people -
that of Togadia or the one that you espouse about the
Islamic - Assamese brotherhood.

Neither do I. I was referring to the beards and
skullcaps of the Al Qaeda kind that swarm Bangladesh.
If you haven't tracked it as yet, the GHQ of the
Jehadis moved from Pakistan/Afghanistan to across the
border from Assam.

The commies lost theirs decades back :-) These days
they are cheer leaders for all the wrong causes.

As an American, you might go in to steal their gas.
The few Oxomiyas that go in there these days go for
those professions, very much. Ah, well - there is a
4th profession - being porters and lackeys for Jehadis
as they plan and plot to make Assam their backyard. I
guess you get the gist.

Actually no. Most people get it. Surprised you dont!!!

Now there... where is the thinking cap?????

I will leave that for a separate mail.

I was never befuddled. I am quite sure you got the
question as well.

No, please don't. I am guessing you did not get your
history lessons in Muslim barbarianism on India or are
conveniently feigning ignorance. Or did not quite
observe the fascism of AASU with the Biharis or that
of the ULFA with anyone who does not have a gun. In
either case, I hope you can get the context of why
Togadia's espousal has as much space here as your idea
of Bengali Hindus.

Now lets see - once again, 30,000 people on a Bandh
day in Assam to hear Togadia. That's way too many
mindless Oxomiyas, wouldn't you think?

I agree the forum has people with above average
thinking abilities. Enough to form their opinions on
what is mindless. Togadia, ULFA's newsletters and
those other ones with absurdly chimerical ideas
foreign lands.
