 Guwahati, Saturday, April 10, 2004 STATE Chilli girl�s bid for Guinness record From Rituraj Borthakur MARIANI, April 9: She can pop in 20 Naga chillies (Bhoot jolokia) in a minute or 90 in 15 minutes. Not only that, she even smears seven of them on her eyes in 25 seconds. Anandita Dutta (24) of Majgaon, Titabor, who holds this record-making feat, is now preparing to fly to London to register herself in the Guinness Book of World Records, after the Guiness researchers have confirmed that no record exists in this category till date. Meanwhile, this spicy feat of Anandita has been featured on the Zee and Sahara channels as well as in a couple of international magazines. Talking to this correspondent, the �chilli-girl� said that she was fond of eating chillies since she was six, although she has no addiction to it. Medical experts have confirmed that there are no abnormalities in her eyes owing to her feat. Now, at the initiatives of adviser to the PM, Ashok Saikia and ex-Jorhat DC Rabi Kota, she will soon leave for London to show her feat before before the world. |
