Dear Ujjwal, Possibly u didn't study the map properly. The "region of Assamese speaking" has been shown in big capital fonts over the entire map of Assam. It also shows different areas of Assam where other languages, in addition to Assamese, are also spoken widely. I hope it is enough to clear your confusion.
