To my knowledge, the Information Technology Specialists are doing great job in the rural areas through Block offices to help the people on information technology - I grew up in Baska Block range and I know what is rural-life out there!
But the main concern was as in the very first email http://groups.yahoo.com/group/assamonline/message/2545 how to help them out to keep the jobs in order to continue such work in the badly needed rural area? In my opinion, local newspapers should explore this issue and help out the needy and I especially would like to ask Sri Manoj Goswami, Editor Dainik Janasadharan to do something (Manoj is a great friend of mine, please Manoj ... write something so Government reads) There are other journalists as well in this message board should you all kindly explore issues of this sort - instead of putting "santrashbaadi" headlines.
