Can the action that Sri Rajkhowa advised be applied to ULFA victims as
well?
I see both ULFA and Police killed big number of people in Assam and both
groups have horrible human Rights records. And to my knowledge until
1992 (third quarter) India Government did not allow Amnesty
International to review any of Human Rights issue in India.
* So then since when this State Human Rights Commission existed!
* Is this commission free of Government maneuver?

Rabin

I would advise the following actions, which Afrida might like to
consider.
1. File a complaint before a Judicial Magistrate First Class or the
Chief Judicial Magistrate, Guwahati against the erring policemen
2. Also simultaneously file Complaint petition, narrating complete
facts of the incident before the State Human Rights Commission
3. Submit another Petition before the State Women's Commission.
An FIR with Police is unlikely to produce the desired results.
