INS has a guest house for journos! Facilities run by Assam Assn and Swagatam are self sustaining and the rates are 40% by south delhi standard. Just for curosity Swagat at Green Park has ATDC Tag & Shankar dev Bhawan near JNU is run by the society Assam Assocn -Delhi .But their room rents are higher in delhi's standard instead of much expected subsidised rate.( the dormitory at Shankardev is good) Assam House & Bhawan may provide at subsidised rate but the benefits are exclusively enjoyed by politicians & bureaucrats as common people rarely get accomodation there. The reservation of accomodation system is highly opaque keeping common people at bay. Can't we explore for a subsidised well furnished accomodation at delhi as most of the other states providing to their country people? sincerely Dibya
