There cannot be a nobler cause than supporting the education of a student. We should be careful in selecting the candidate, though. The ideal candidate would be a boy/girl from extremely poor family, who can pull out the family from poverty after attaining good job. And the support level can start from matric.
I identified two such such candidates from Dhemaji. One is doing engg at AEC and his education is being supported by Mrs. Anjana Hazarika, wife of Mr. Ajit Hazarika, Director, ONGC. The other one is doing BSc is Geology at Cotton College. I am supporting her from my own funds, partially. Only condition: they will support their brother/sisters in education. -manoj On 6/9/07, Manoj Agarwal <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: First of all, heartiest thanks to Sirumoni Da for bringing to our attention. I don't have anything written regarding terms and condition. My main concern is proper utilisation of fund. Any way, I guess, he wants to go for medical or Engineering. Please make sure that he goes for JEE if he is interested in Engineering. Restrictions for any candidate: 1. It will be year to year basis. Based on result of next year, funding may discontinue. 2. I can personally commit for one year to start with. But there is no guarantee that it will continue. As long as my I have a job, I don't see any problem though. 3. Once he is financial capable (may be after 10 years), he commits to help two students for the same cause. So that chain for building a better society continues . I reserve the right to pick one student. Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime. If it sounds good, then please email personally his HSLC result, HSSLC result and current financial situation. Comments!
