Sirs, I got from Rimzim Dihingiya sir "back-bone of their own", also "who could stand upto the politicans of any party".
Sorry for being dumb but I still did not get: What did he do when he found that Jatin Mali minister (politician) did not allow him to do what he wanted to do? Was Jatin Mali Education Minister or was Brindaban Goswami Education Minister? Are you three (Shantikam Hazarika, Rimzim Dihingiya and Manoj Das) sirs only want us to read what you write no question? Ranju Hussein --- Rimzim Dihingiya <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Dear Ranju: I am ashamed to read your silly questions like "was it Jatin Mali or Brindaban??" When was he Edu. Comm.??? The basic thing Assamese IAS/ACS officers follow him is to have "back-bone of their own" in the complex political system of our country/state. And Mr. Ashok Saikia had it 'straight'. Moreover, he was one of the very few Bureaucrats who could stand upto the politicans of any party. And that was one of the main reason, most of the politician respected him. That does not mean that all the politicain listened to him! Got it Ranju! Have a nice year ahead Rim --- "ranjuhussein" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Sir, To find trees, there are not may forests left in Assam gone for charity to Bangladeshi and smugglers. So I have lots of doubts on Assamese IAS/ACS etc who works in Assam. I am sorry I tell my doubt! But it is good if I know during what time he was Education Commissioner and who was Education Minister at that time. So I understand why Assamese IAS should follow him! Ranju Hussein --- "Shantikam Hazarika" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: A typical Assamese response. When anyone states anything, we go into hair splitting and reading between the lines and doubt the veracity, before we can even mull over the contents. Looking at the trees, we Assamese have always missed the forests.... I presume that you are aware that an officer can hold many posts in his career. So obviously Ashok Saikia could not have been only DC of undivided Darrang. He could have occupied other posts too in his career like Commissioner Education. In fact Ashok Saikia was the Deputy Commissioner of Karbi Anglong before he became the DC of Darrang. "In his first stint in Assam as an education commissioner" So I am trying to understand when he was Education Commissioner also what he did if Jatin Mali stopped him to pursue his idea. Was Jatin Mali Education Minister? I thought Brindaban Goswami was Education Minister (sorry I am ignorant) I have heard of Homen Borgohain, but I think Ministers do not go look for IAS officers in Assam. But IAS officers can go meet them to suggest too.
