As per News reports, in the recent drive against Bangladeshi immigrants in upper Assam, a few Assamese Muslims from Mukalmua (Nalbari) were handed over to police by AASU/AJYCP activists at Titabor. This is a very unfortunate incident.
AASU/AJYCP leadership should instruct/educate the field activists so that they can clearly identify the Bangladeshi/East-Paki immigrants from the Assamese Muslims. i would like to reiterate here, my concern in one of the earlier postings (sub:- AASU movement), Humiliating the Immigrants in front of TV camera also should be discouraged. Patrons of Bangladeshi immigrants can use these incidents for distracting the main issue.
