Dear Khalek, In plain English what myself and Mrinal meant is that infiltration is not alarming. English word 'alamring' has been used. If you consult a English Dictionary, you would find that 'alarming' is a synonym for appalling, atrocious, awful, baleful, bloodcurdling, chilling, creepy, creepy-crawly, dire, direful, dismaying, dread(a), dreaded, dreadful, fearful, fearsome, forbidding, formidable, frightening, frightful, ghastly, grim, grisly, gruesome, hair-raising, hairy, horrendous, horrible, horrific, horrifying, macabre, menacing, minacious, minatory, nightmarish, ominous, petrifying, redoubtable, scarey, scary, shivery, shuddery, sinister, stupefying, terrible, terrific, terrifying, threatening, ugly, unnerving etc.
These words definitely doesnot mean that there is no infiltration. I dont think any one will disagree that there is no illegal migration to Assam. Border vigilance doesnot fall under my work area and I am also not aware like you what strategy and time frame is used by the infiltrators. Being an inhabitants of borderland , I expressed what I have experienced. It is expected that my sharing should not be distorted or given a different interpretation by the group members. I presume you are not from border areas, but you know that infiltration is taking place. Now my question to you is that how you know that infiltration is taking place at the time when you are not present in and around the border sections ? My assumption is you are not in and around border sections 24 hours a day 7 days a week? Please reflect these questions. You will find many answers.Try to be little bit pragmatic. Infiltration/illegal migration is a political issue here rather than a socio-economic migration or a border issue. Prevention of illegal migration through proper border vigilance mechanism may solve the problem overnight. But this will not happen. Because if the problem is solved there will be no 'game' to play.
