it is not htat national newspapers are bias against assam; not giving space for news.
It is the assamese who lack skill to compose news, caputrres photographs and then upload to the media centres. Medias are always after news; and NE is not feeding enough . dibya --- On Wed, 10/9/08, atul sarma <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: atul sarma <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [asom] An All-India newspaper owned by the Assamese To: [email protected] Date: Wednesday, 10 September, 2008, 5:23 PM If I recollect my memory, during the wake of the Assam Movement in late 1970s and early 1980s, someone from Boston (USA) proposed the same idea of having newspaper with specific interest in the causes and interest of Assam. Some of us jumped into that band-wagon for patriotic reason. What's happen then ? -- One issue on garbage paper was printed and dump into dustbins.. We lost our stakes without having any accountability of the project leader(s). On the basis of that experience, I would like to warn our cohorts to be careful. Because of your deep feelings for the people and land of Assam, do not patronize evils. If you want publicity for our people of the Northeast, keep on writing in various newsmedia the way some of us did during the time of 'useless' Assam Movement.
