I was about to forward the appended mail once again during 2nd week of Augast'08 mentioning the incidents at Samguri, Naltali(Kaliabor), Rowta during the Bandhs by AAMSU and MUSA (little known at that time). but, due to some exigencies could not do the same. Now, they are attacking and killing Bodos, Adivasis even Bengalis in Darrang. There are reports that, even Pakistani flags are being hoisted in those areas. (Assam Govt. is alleging that NDFB had fomented the clashes! Although their involvement later on can't be ruled out , Every non-Bangladeshi in Darrang and Odalguri will swear that, the clashes started at the provocation of the MUSA on 14/08/08. The ongoing disturbance is the result of the trouble started by the MUSA/AAMSU). On 05/10/08, they attacked Rabha peoples with a motive to occupy the Rubber Plantation of the Rabhas at Agiya(Gowalpara). if you ponder over those incidents along with the Threat of AAMSU to drive out the Assamese from Barpeta,Dhuburi and Gowalpara last year (2007) it becomes clear that, Bangladeshi-Origin Muslim Peoples (not Bengalis) are becoming Powerfull day by day due to their Increase in Population (both by Birth and Illegal Immigration). I think we don't have much time left to act if we don't wish to see someone the likes of Slobodan Milosevic or Hitler from the Assamese Community. Regards. -Kuladip PS :- 1. I am not a supporter of NDFB (not even BLT/BPPF) 2. on the News Papers the Darrang Clashes are being reported as to be with Bodos and "Minorities". Minority in Assam includes the Assamese Muslims also. There is chances of misunderstanding between Bodos and Assamese Muslims in the other parts of Assam due these kinds careless reports. The News papers should be carefull enough not to Mingle any Muslims with the Bangladeshis.

(remember about the beltola kind of incident at same lakhipur town a few days ago??? Bangladeshi origin peoples attacked and beaten up the Rabha activists mercilessly!). the danger is same everywhere in Assam wherever these bangladeshi origin people have become majority. Intellectuals and politicians of native origin should think and act positively in this regard. i feel, we still have little but just enough time to act. -Kuladip Never miss a thing.
