The Darrang-Odalguri clash between the Natives and the Immigrant Bangladeshis brought unsurmountable agony and hardships to the affected native peoples. Though it is indecent to think of Loss& Gain of the incidents at this moment, I Think, sacrifice and hardships of the affected helped gain something by the Natives as a whole - UNITY AMONG THEM and realisation of the real danger lurking right in front of the nose. People who thought the stands of AASU/AJYCP and Native Students Unions were wrong now realised that Bangladeshi Immigrants are a real threat to the Natives. However, a grave mistake committed by a handfull of the Bodos (due to their Pitiable Ignorance) is condemnable, they attacked Native Muslims also in some areas (as per Reports). I think, some vested interest party is trying to create misunderstanding among the Natives. ( A rumour was spread during the 1st incidents in mid-August itself that, Assamese Muslims are also enemy of the Bodos!) Somebody should take initiative to educate those people about the difference between the Bangladeshi Immigrants and Native Muslims. -Kuladip
