Some jokes cry out to be set down! A major name in investments, a major name
for investments ...

I'd actually forgotten what DECB was all about until I checked what advice
others had offered you before trying Google.

It reminded me of the first time I heard about the control block shortly
after becoming a "teleprocessing" specialist in 1969. It was in Paris and
the presenter was Swiss. We heard about lots of things, for example, that
the BSC WABT had been rechristened as the WACK and then we heard about BTAM
programming and the expression Deh-Eh-Ceh-Beh rolled off the tongue of the
Swiss gentleman time and again.

I never said I did not know of Google. I tried a Google search but came up
with many references to the IRCTC, an Indian Railway reference.

I did however use the quotes, as suggested and received may references to
IECTDECB.

Thanks to those that made an honest suggestion without disparaging comments.

Thanks;

Putting quotes round the search word forces gogle to sort things.

Like this:-

Someone from Morgan Stanley unfamiliar with Google! It

doesn't bode well

for these troubled times, does it?

Try

www.google.com[1]

and then enter

IECTDECB

and *insist* on IECTDECB because Google is likely to pretend

it doesn't

believe you. You will then find the following is your first hit:

http://www.mainframe.eu/mvs38/maclib/IECTDECB

It could be a smidgen easier I suppose.

[1] I hope that gives you the US version. I'm obliged to use

www.google.co.uk in order to be sure I get an

English-language version.
