Detect z/OS or VSE at Assembly Time

Is there a reliable method to detect whether an assembly is using the z/OS
macro libraries or the VSE macro library?

We run our assemblies on z/OS using the VSE MACLIB when wanting a VSE
object deck.

Any pointers or examples are appreciated.
