Dave,

thank you for mentioning hlasm.com. There is no straightforward way of
counting instructions.
There are many ways to count them, many criteria by which to discern or
categorize them.

I have tried to present the instruction lists with options to
include/exclude various (sub)categories,
but have never felt the need to create overviews cross-sectioned
according to the criteria you mentioned.

Which means: you'll have to do it yourself.
And btw: after the latest PoP was published I was working on including
the newest instructions in the lists
and charts, but unfortunately my PC broke down, and then the project got
stalled. So at this moment the
hlasm.com overviews are not entirely up-tp-date :-(

Kind regards, and success!
Abe Kornelis.

I am doing a high (very high) level presentation for my managers who have no
MF experience. I want a simple slide. Something like:
IBM architecture is not RISC, there are nnn instructions.
nnn Privileged
nnn General
nnn Decimal
nnn Cryptographic
etc.

I've Googled and looked at some of the sites in the Dino ring including
hlasm.com and haven't found it. I don't find a nice set of counts in Pops
either.
Anyone know of such a list(s)
